Sat 16th March 11.15am : Canine Myxomatous Mitral Valve Disease: EPIC and Beyond

Management of canine myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD) has undergone major updates over the past few years. This talk provides a review on the updated diagnostics and therapeutic recommendations for different stages of MMVD according to the ACVIM consensus statement, as well as present new research findings to allow clinicians to be better equipped in tackling this common cardiac condition.

Sun 17th March 12.30pm : The Butterfly Effect: Systemic Disease And Their Effect On The Heart

This talk discusses the ripple effects on the heart caused by various extracardiac conditions and diseases in our feline patients. These mainly include intravascular volume alterations, hyperthyroidism, renal disease, systemic arterial hypertension, electrolyte imbalances and so on.
